Globalview Advisors will be a sponsor of the 2019 Graham Slam Golf Tournament, held at the The Club at Spurwing in Boise, Idaho on September 9, 2019. Jeremy Burnstein, Director of Globalview Advisors in Boise, Idaho, will be participating in the golf event. The Graham and Ruby DeLaet Foundation will continue its fundraising efforts through the Graham Slam golf event to help raise funds to improve children’s health and wellness and the development of junior golf across North America. The proceeds from the event will go back into the Boise community.
The Boise community has been Graham and Ruby DeLaet’s home since they met at Boise State University, and where they have built their lives and family over the past decade. Since 2013, the Graham Slam has raised over $1.5 million for charitable organizations across Saskatchewan that reflect the Foundation’s mission. Graham and his wife Ruby have been dedicated to supporting children’s causes, and in 2014 launched the Graham and Ruby DeLaet Foundation. Since launching the Foundation, Graham and Ruby have raised over $1 million for their charitable initiatives.
Graham DeLaet will be one of the professional golfers at the event. Known to be one of the game’s best ball strikers, Graham had a milestone year on the PGA TOUR in 2013, placing 8th in the FedExCup Playoffs, and ending the year with a breakthrough performance in his first Presidents Cup International team appearance. 2017 saw Graham record 6 Top 10’s, including a personal Major’s best with T7 at the PGA Championship, where he made a huge move in round 3 posting 6-under through four holes. In 2016, Graham had the honor of representing Canada in the Olympics, as Golf returned to the Games for the first time since 1904. So far this season, Graham has recorded four top ten finishes. Graham was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan Canada with a passion for hockey, fishing and, of course, golf. He attended Boise State University and is very passionate about Broncos football. He is also a huge hockey fan and an avid Calgary Flames fan.
The Graham and Ruby DeLaet Foundation is a foundation focused on improving the health and wellness of children, as well as supporting the development of junior golfers at all stages. The Foundation fosters an environment where children and families that are affected by emotional, behavioural, or mental illnesses are supported, not only in their home, but also in their workplaces, schools, and communities. Its aim is to help put an end to mental health stigmas through promoting open conversations, where children feel safe to discuss their struggles and feel supported. In addition, the foundation hopes to provide equal opportunity for junior golfers at all stages, and strives to ensure that no golfer is held back due to lack of funds or resources.
