Globalview Advisors was a proud sponsor of the Orange County Korean American Bar Association (OC KABA) 11th Annual Installation Dinner and Awards Ceremony held at the Hotel Irvine. Brian Lee and Cristina Espiritu from Globalview Advisors attended this year’s event. The evening’s Honorees were Mr. John Chiang, California State Treasurer, and Ms. Sung Eun (Summer) Kim, Assistant Professor of Law and Director of the Korea Law Center, UCI School of Law. OC KABA’s Installation Dinner brought together a broad range of practitioners within the legal community, a group that included judges, law firm partners, in-house counsel, government attorneys, law school faculty, non-profit attorneys, and solo practitioners.

Demographic statistics compiled as part of the 2012 American Community Survey indicate that 86,154 Korean-Americans live in Orange County, comprising 15 percent of Orange County’s total Asian-American population. This growth in numbers has been accompanied by an increase in the visibility and influence of the Korean-American community, as well as an increasing demand for legal services.

Globalview Advisors has been a proud sponsor of OC KABA since 2014. The organization was established in 2005 to foster professional and personal relationships between Korean-American attorneys through business networking and social events, providing pro bono services aimed at addressing the needs of the local Korean-American community, promoting the appointment of Korean-American judges, and facilitating the efforts of Korean-American law students to navigate the transition to licensed practice. OC KABA coordinates a diverse program of business networking events, mentorship opportunities, social mixers, and pro bono clinics.
